SCHOOL (5-6 GRADES)
A MINUTE FOR HANDOUTS
SCHOOL
(5-6 GRADES)

1.This worksheet is about school stuff. You can read the words and ask your students to repeat before telling them to follow the instructions. Ask them to look at the words and to focus on the differences, this might enable them to guess how you use articles (a/an/ or no article+ plurals).

2.This worksheet is served as a classroom activity, especially for a class to begin. The teacher has to prepare fortune cookies (can buy them from Costco) and give one to each student. Students can work in pairs to share their fortune and help each other to translate and understand the saying, and then write down some reflection. In the end of the activity, students are asked to think about their expectation of their English learning.

3.This English printable worksheet can be used to widen your students' vocabulary about objects in the classroom! They are asked to write the letters on the lines to match the columns correctly. There are twelve words to match.

4.This is a good exercise to give to your students. It deals with History and using the verb can exercises. Also there are instruments which they need to choose according to the movie. You should give the exercise after the movie was played. In the first exercise they must write all things Mr Peabody can do including speaking, writing, teaching and etc.

5. This worksheet is a fun warm-up activity for the first day of school or Knowledge Day etc. It deals with the differences between our right and left brain hemisphere. 1) Give the picture from page 1 to a group/pair of ss together with the words on strips of paper from page 2. Let them think and define what right and left hemisphere of our brain is responsible for. 2) Check the answers together and discuss if ss come up with different answers. 3) The possible follow up activity can be a video included in the worksheet.
