1. Grocery store use many different marketing words that can confuse students when they go shopping. Use this worksheet to help students understand the meanings of these words so that they can become savvy shoppers and not be caught by some of the tricks grocery stores play. 










2. This worksheet introduces eight common idioms with a clothing theme. Students need to match the idioms to the correct definition, then fill the gaps in short paragraphs and dialogues where the idioms have been used in context. There is a teacher's guide with answer key on the second page. This worksheet has been carefully graded for second language learners. 








3. This worksheet is about couchsurfing and it was made for one-on-one lessons (could be used in larger classes too). Ss find out about couchsurfing, read through the official website, watch videos about how it works and safety, discuss pros and cons, and finally write their own profile. I believe it can be very useful as it mostly deals with authentic language.

4. Another episode of Anglophenia. This time Siobhan Thompson educates us on the differences Americans and Brits have regarding clothing. Watch the episode and label the items of clothing, according to how they are called in each country. Then, mark the sentences as true or false. Enjoy!














5. The tasks based on "The Devil Wears Prada" movie. A good thing to talk about fashion and jobs (the very first impressions, interviews, duties, different kinds of jobs etc.). Also, it's a quite useful topic to talk about personal traits of different people "before" and "after" certain changes. My students like this task and the movie, for sure :) So, enjoy!

A MINUTE FOR HANDOUTS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (10-11 GRADES) 1.  A worksheet to improve students vocabulary on the topics: science vs Technology. Students are asked to match some words related to the topic, with their correct definition. Key is included. It could be used as warm up activity or as a follow up activity on the issue. 2.  A worksheet to accompany season 6, episode 12 of Seinfeld. Students begin with a 'get to know the characters' activity before moving on to a collocations vocabulary activity and some pre-episode discussion questions. Pause the episode at 7:45 for a number of a comprehension questions then finish the episode for wrap-up and discussion questions.   3.  This is a movie worksheet based on  Steve Jobs (2015)  for B1+ students.
