1. What did Hitler and other important people in history like to do in their free time? Watch the video and find out. Teens enjoy this video activity and can be shocked at some of the facts revealed in it. Interesting and amusing for everyone.

2. This is a worksheet to learn about eating contests. Your students will wonder if this is a sport or not. You can use it with intermediate students.

3. This is a little exercise on the topic of amusement parks. Students need to fill in the gaps and then choose the park that they like the most. Additionaly you can cut out the pictures and let learners match them with texts. The worksheet is provided with a key for a teacher. 4. A lot of idioms are inspired by the world of sport. Many of these idioms are very common so their knowledge can prove useful. This worksheet 'sports' the list of fifteen common idioms. I included a mix of easy-to-guess-the-meaning idioms as well as some more difficult ones. The worksheet also includes the key in which I tried to explain their origin and meaning. If you want to learn more, you will find the links to websites with more information on the topic.
5. This worksheet includes a text of approx. 300 words from a real source about a Brazilian goalkeeper with one leg. It has a pre-reading activity with vocabulary from the text and a post-reading activity for describing famous footballers in order to spark a discussion on whether football players should be role models or not.
