Methodological support from other bloggers (part 1) Why did I decide to create a blog? First of all, I was motivated by other bloggers who share their experience and interesting topics. New experience in DUOLINGO (week 1) week 1 I think that many people know about this app for learning foreign languages. I tried it myself to know if I should advise it to someone else. So, let's talk about the advantages of Duolingo. 1. You can track your success during the week. You set yourself a daily goal, which is counted by the points in the game and it motivates you to visit it every day. That is how it looks like. 2. You see the topics that need to be covered and you can choose what you want to learn today. If a certain period of time has passed, the app reminds you that some topics are necessary to relearn. 3.While using this app, you can learn not only one language, but 2, 3 or more at the same time. A MINUTE FOR HANDOUTS HOME/HOUSE (10-11 GRADES) In the post below, I talked about how important the correct handouts are for different age categories. Now I'd like to offer several options on the same topic (Home/House) for older students.  The famous Einstein's Riddle organised in a worksheet, with the reasoning to follow for the teacher. Great for those days when teens don't want to work. It can be used in all sorts of levels, since the objective is to make them think logically and speak about it. You know that often we are faced with the situations that having a specific topic, it is difficult to select and find tasks for a specific age group. Now I would like to help a little bit with that task, and the following nahdouts are aimed at children of 6-10 years old and I have already tried many of them by myself, because kids really like them and they are very effective. So the topic i chose is "Home/House", which is a very popular topic while studying:)  1.  I use this house template to practice furniture vocabulary. Students design their dream home by cutting pictures of furniture they'd like in their house out of catalogues e.g. Argos. They then stick them in the appropriate rooms (2-3 pictures per room). Pick a place and time. Everyone has their own idea about the best place and time to study. Whether it's your bedroom at night or the library after school, find a study space and a regular study time that works for you and stick with it. Set up your study space   – Your study space should be quiet, comfortable and distraction-free. It should make you feel happy and inspired. Decorate it with your favourite pictures or objects. If you want to listen to music or burn incense, pick a space that lets you do that. Find your best time  – Some people work better in the morning. Others work better at night.
